Katharine's Website

My name is Katharine. I was born in Greenwich, CT but grew up in Las Vegas, NV. I have two parents, two sisters, and two dogs but two is not my favorite number. My dogs have an istagram account (@thedawgz.) I love the color pink and I usually (not always) enjoy putting glitter on things. I love all kinds of rock and indie music and unfortunately spend way too much money on concerts and music festivals. Some more important things to note are that pizza is my favorite food, I love puppies, and sometimes I go to the beach!

I first became interested in journalism my freshman year of high school. I took a Media Communications class where I learned how to edit video and have loved it ever since. I originally thought that, being a former competitive swimmer, I would pursue a career in sports journalism. However, now I am quite sure I would like to work as an investigative journalist. I have absolutely loved spending the past three years working for ATVN and Trojan Vision filling various different positions, however, recently I have been more interesting in the print writing aspect of journalism. I spent the summer working for the Entertainment Industry Foundation as a communications assistant and, though I loved the company and my co-workers, quickly realized that I would not like to work in communications.
