I am loyal, reflective and artistic. Born and raised in La Quinta, California to incredible parents, I am fortunate to have two inspirational older brothers. I feel most at ease when I am spending time with people I love, creating art and making an impact on the world around me.
At the age of 13, I signed with Ford Models and began my modeling career. I learned how to balance schoolwork with my job, and continue modeling to this day. Some of my most significant jobs include the 2015 Enzoani Bridal campaign and fashion shows for Louis Vuitton, Alexander McQueen and Moschino. The modeling industry introduced me to many of my other passions, including photography and videography. Throughout the years, I have taken various photography and film courses at different colleges, including Parsons, Columbia University and Occidental.
Toward the end of high school, I knew I wanted to attend the University of Southern California, as my older brother did and I fell in love with the campus and its energy. I graduated from Palm Desert High School as the Valedictorian of my class in 2014, and am now lucky enough to pursue Print and Digital Journalism at USC with a minor in Digital Studio.
At the age of 20, I dream of moving to New York in the future and being an editor of a fashion magazine. I initially decided to pursue journalism with this goal in mind, and have taken steps ever since to finding my true journalistic purpose. In high school, I was the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of my school's first digital magazine, Torch. I am now interning with marketing and sales at Cosmopolitan.
I value journalism because it allows me to share my thoughts and perspectives with an audience. I hope to use my writing and storytelling abilities to bring people together and to have a beneficial impact on my readers. Whether or not I pursue fashion journalism as my expertise, I feel that good writing and journalism are necessary in many job industries.
With journalism often comes traveling, and I love seeing the world. Traveling the globe and having cultural awareness contribute to my insight and empathy, which I hope translates into my writing. Being a proper journalist requires observation of the people and places in diverse environments. I hope to expand my horizons and share my experiences through my writing and reporting.
