Lauren Dunn

Hi my name is Lauren Dunn! I was born and raised in Anaheim Hills, California. I loved growing up with two younger brothers, Connor (17) and Aidan (8), who mean more to me than anything in the world. Both of my parents were Trojans and inspired me to follow in their footsteps.

I am currently a junior majoring in Broadcast and Digital Journalism and minoring in Business Administration. Although I am not completely sure what I plan to do after graduation, right now my goal is to pursue a career in sports broadcasting. My dream is to be a sideline reporter on ESPN or Fox Sports reporting on college and NFL football.

Finding my way to journalism was sort of like fitting puzzle pieces together. I have always loved performing as I have been dancing since I was three years old. In school, I have always had a natural knack for writing. I love communicating through words and getting my thoughts out on paper. Finally, growing up attending Trojan football games since before I could walk and going to tons of games and practices for my brothers over the years, sports has always been a major part of my life. So I have decided to become a journalist to combine these three passions of mine and share them with the world. In addition to sports I am also very interested in exploring political and international journalism.

Within Annenberg I have been involved in Annenberg TV News and Sports Scene. Through these groups I have reported, edited videos, written scripts, created packages, conducted interviews, and much more. I cannot wait to get even more involved in Annenberg this year through ATVN Sports, Sports SCene, and The Buzz.

Aside from academics, I love dancing, being involved on campus, and staying active. I have been dancing since I was three years old in styles ranging from jazz and hip hop to ballet and pointe. To continue my passion for dance in college, I was honored to be a USC Song Girl last year. Getting to travel the world representing USC and performing at all Trojan football games as well as many basketball, volleyball, water polo, and baseball games was an absolutely unforgettable experience.

I am also a member of Alpha Phi and a few community service clubs and honor societies on campus. Other passions of mine include: surfing, Pure Barre, hiking, traveling, and photography.

I absolutely love adventure. So from the people I meet to the places I go, I cannot wait to see what amazing memories this semester will bring.
