Chanele Czopp- a curious millennial who is passionate about the world and the people who live in it.
Chanele is a junior studying broadcast journalism at the University of Southern California. She was born and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona but her move to Los Angeles in August of 2015 was something she had been waiting for her entire life. Chaneles interests are, and always have been, so widespread that she found it very difficult choosing a major- well, until she found journalism. To Chanele, journalism is a tool that can be used to express really just about anything, and upon realizing that she fell in love. She did not have to immediately decide what single discipline she would be studying for the rest of her life, but instead with journalism, could explore her passions in food, travel, fashion, sports, entertainment and current world affairs through different journalistic avenues.
At the age of three, Chanele was blessed with the most amazing gift- a baby brother. Her younger brother, Amir, was born three months premature, weighing in at exactly two pounds and later that year he was diagnosed with severe cerebral palsy. This greatly impacted the course of Chanele’s life. Since the age of twelve she has spent much of her time volunteering at different programs that cater specifically to children with special needs. She also competitively played volleyball for eight years, both on high school and travel club teams. The highlight of her volleyball career was competing in the 2013 19th Maccabiah Games, which is the third largest sporting event in the world. She was recruited to join the USA Womens Junior Volleyball team. They took second place and won a silver metal for team USA. In college, Chanele joined the Delta Gamma Fraternity and has been a member for two years. This past summer she interned at NBCUniversal as a research intern in Television Distribution. She enjoyed and learned from her internship experience so much that she decided to continue interning the fall semester at E! Network. Her dream job would be to be the female version of Anthony Bourdain with her own food/travel/lifestyle show(s).
