I'm on the left! Fine, fine, here's an AP style caption: Beverly Pham, left, holds up the traditional USC "Fight On" symbol with Maya Dondonyan on the field of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum after the USC vs. UCLA football game on November 28, 2015. The two became friends through working for the Daily Trojan photography department, and both now work for the USC Athletics department in videography and photography. Hi, I'm Beverly.

First and foremost, I'm a diehard Trojan.

By day, I'm a 19-year-old Broadcast and Digital Journalism major at the University of Southern California currently entering my junior year. For some reason, I seem to think my crazy schedule isn't crazy enough, so I'm planning on declaring a double minor in Sports Media Studies and Cinematic Arts in the near future as well. On the extra-curriculars side, I am a video production intern for the USC Athletics Department. Channeling my high school student council vibes, I'm employed as the 2016-2017 Director of Videography for USC Undergraduate Student Government and the Fall 2016 Art Director for Annenberg TV News on Thursday shows. College is expensive, so I also make a grand total of $8-per-printed-photo working as a staff photographer for the Daily Trojan, which gets me about 1.5 meals from In-N-Out. Good enough.

By night, you can find me under the Coliseum lights, going beyond the numbers and statistics to find a deeper story.

I want to become a journalist to capture the stories that go unnoticed. Hailing from Huntington Beach, California, I grew up watching the men and women of CBS2, NBC4, KTLA5, ABC7, and other Los Angeles-area stations report on not only the latest breaking news but also community stories that made me feel good and resonated deep within me. It was the storytelling aspect of journalism that captivated me - the way a closeup of an emotional high school senior's last football game inserted in just the right place in a package could cause me to tear up.

As a former intern for the Los Angeles Daily News in sports photography and videography, I learned that even the littlest of details can become a point of interest, such as USC's equine mascot, Traveler, stopping by football practice after attending a nearby fundraising event. A live horse at a college football practice, as you can imagine, is an entertaining sight.

My passion for video production intersects with journalism to give me a unique take on visual storytelling. I hope to fine-tune the skill of using great cinematography to enhance a journalism piece and make sure a story worth telling can be told in the most impactful way possible.
